Celebrate International Observe the Moon Night with us at BinoCentral on Saturday, 19th September for a special evening of lunar observing, telescopes and astronomy!

Whether you’re a seasoned stargazer, looking to get started in astronomy, or simply want to give the kids an unforgettable look at the Moon, everyone is welcome.

As the Sun goes down, we’ll turn our telescopes towards our closest celestial neighbour and explore the incredible landscape of the Moon up close.

Explore enormous impact craters, vast lunar plains, towering mountains and shadows stretching across the lunar surface.

Our team will be on hand throughout the evening to help identify lunar landmarks, answer your astronomy questions and help you get the best view through the telescopes.

WHAT IS INTERNATIONAL OBSERVE THE MOON NIGHT?

International Observe the Moon Night is a worldwide celebration of lunar science and exploration, celestial observation, and our cultural and personal connections to the Moon.

People around the world are encouraged to step outside, look up and discover more about our nearest neighbour in space.

This year, we're celebrating right here at BinoCentral — and we'd love you to join us!

WEATHER & OBSERVING CONDITIONS

As this event includes live telescope viewing of the Moon, observing is dependent on weather and cloud conditions.

We’ll be keeping a close eye on the forecast in the lead-up to the event. Light or intermittent cloud may not stop the fun. If there are breaks in the clouds, we’ll continue observing whenever the Moon is visible.

In the event of heavy cloud, rain or unsuitable observing conditions, some outdoor telescope activities may be limited, changed or cancelled.

Any important updates regarding weather or changes to the event will be communicated to registered attendees as soon as possible.
