50th Anniversary Apollo 11

On Tuesday the 16th of July from 6pm – 8pm Binocentral will be holding a special event to commemorate 50 years since Apollo 11 and its crew landed on the Lunar Surface.

Apollo 11 was launched on July 16th 50 years ago. So join us here for this very special event.

This is a FREE viewing event (weather permitting) for all the family. Binocentrals telescopes and Members of AGWA will be giving you amazing views of Jupiter from 6pm, then as the Moon rises we will be turning the telescopes to Saturn, Saturn will rise just in front of the Moon. At approx 7pm we will get the Moon in all it’s glory, our telescopes will be zoomed in to the Sea of Tranquility so we can show you the landing area of Apollo 11.
