The modern 1/1.6" sensor with 3552*3552 pixels delivers smooth, high-resolution images, perfect for meteor photography, all-sky photography, detailed planetary photography, lunar surface details, and solar details.

It also serves as an autoguiding camera and supports electronically assisted astronomy. The camera's lightweight design and autoguiding interface make it suitable for various applications. The UV/IR block filter protects the sensor from dust, while air cooling reduces sensor temperature by up to 15 degrees Celsius, ensuring high sensitivity for short exposure times. The HCG mode effectively reduces readout noise at high gain, maintaining a wide dynamic range.

ASI676 MC makes the whole mosaic contruction process so much easier by eliminating the need to consider the difference between the long and wide sides of the format during mosaic Stitching.
The square format is also compatible with various types of lenses, such as fisheye lenses and wide angle lenses, this makes it more suitable for meteor recording and full sky surveillance.
