saxon 1141 EQ Reflector Telescope with Motor Drive
The Saxon 1141 EQ Reflector Telescope is a 114mm aperture and 1000mm focal length reflector telescope, the EQ stands for Equatorial, this is the type of mount that it sits on and adjustable-height aluminum tripod that fits an accessory tray for your eyepieces or filters. The mount also comes with a clock drive.
The EQ mount is a little more difficult to set up compared to Alazimuth but once you get the hang of setting it up it makes it much easier to track objects in the night sky.
The motor/clock drive allows the telescope to track across the sky follow the object in the eyepiece this is particulary handy if you are viewing the Moon or the Planets.
This telescope has an excellent combination of aperture and long focal length for the best in planetary images. The 1141 EQ Reflector Telescope has two standard 1.25" eyepieces (10mm and 25mm) and a 5x24 finderscope. Each Saxon Telescope is covered by a 5-Year Limited Australian Warranty.
