High-Resolution Thermal Imaging Performance

At the core of the Gryphon GQ50L is a 640 × 512 VOx uncooled thermal sensor with a 12 µm pixel pitch and NETD below 35 mK. This high-sensitivity sensor delivers strong thermal contrast and fine detail, even in challenging temperature environments. The large 50 mm F1.2 objective lens provides an extended detection range of up to 2600 metres, making the GQ50L ideal for long-distance thermal observation.

Manual focus allows precise image control, while a native optical magnification of 2.9× is supported by digital zoom up to 8× for flexible target inspection.

Fusion Imaging and Optical Module

The Gryphon GQ50L incorporates bi-spectrum fusion technology, combining thermal and visible-light imagery to enhance object recognition and outline clarity. The integrated optical module features a 1/2″ progressive scan CMOS sensor with a 1920 × 1080 resolution, enabling detailed visual observation in daylight and low-light conditions.

Multiple viewing modes allow the user to adapt quickly to changing environments, including White Hot, Black Hot, Red Hot, Thermal, Visible, and Image Fusion modes.

Integrated Laser Rangefinder and Smart Functions

A built-in laser rangefinder provides accurate distance measurement up to 600 metres, with readings available in metres or yards. This significantly improves spatial awareness and precision when observing distant heat sources.

Additional smart features include hot spot detection, hot track functionality, distance measurement tools, standby mode for power conservation, and onboard video recording and snapshot capture. Captured media is stored on the built-in 16 GB internal memory for easy review and transfer.

Display, Power, and Rugged Design

Thermal and optical imagery is displayed on a high-resolution 0.39-inch OLED screen with a resolution of 1024 × 768 and a 50 Hz refresh rate. This ensures smooth image rendering and comfortable viewing during extended observation sessions.

The device is powered by a removable 18650 battery, delivering up to approximately 4.5 hours of continuous operation. An IP67-rated housing protects the monocular from dust, water immersion, and harsh weather conditions, making it suitable for demanding outdoor environments.
